Websites like this include IGN and MMGN (both good gaming websites). Sometimes finding information on a specific topic can be tricky on a large website so finding a smaller website or blog related to just one topic or a whole range of topics can be easier, and smaller blogs tend to be easier to navigate. Supporting independent websites and blogs is always great because lots of people (and some viewers)Want their blog/website to become a major addition to their respected industry but just because some people want to be internet famous doesn't mean all people want to, so don't pressure the content editors.
